1. About i spy

We are i spy (“we” or “us”), a fashion discovery app for iOS and Android that helps you find the pieces behind any outfit, save fashion finds from anywhere online, organise them into Boards and your Closet, and shop when you're ready (the “App”). Our website at ispyplatform.com is a marketing and support landing site only — i spy as a product is available in the App, not as a full web product.

We provide visual search, product links to third-party retailers, saving and organising tools, discovery of public Boards, and related app features (the “Services”). i spy is free to download and use on iOS and Android. We may introduce optional paid features later; if we do, we will explain any extra terms clearly.

These Terms set out the conditions under which we operate the i spy App, the ispyplatform.com landing site, and the Services.

2. Use of i spy

You must be at least 13 years old to use i spy.

You agree not to use i spy for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.

In our sole discretion we may, at any time, suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse i spy.

3. Accounts

When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity on your account.

4. Our obligations

We shall:

• Provide you with access to the App to the extent required for the Services under these Terms;
• Provide the Services with reasonable care and skill; and
• Reasonably co-operate with you in relation to your use of i spy.

We:

• Do not warrant that access to the App and/or Services will be uninterrupted or error-free; and
• Are not responsible for delays, delivery failures, or other loss or damage resulting from data transfer over the internet or other communications networks. You acknowledge that availability may be subject to limitations and delays inherent in such facilities.

5. Your obligations

You shall:

• Provide details we reasonably request to grant access or provide the Services;
• Ensure information you give us is correct and up to date, and notify us of material changes to your contact details;
• Follow our instructions about using the App and Services and only use them in accordance with applicable laws;
• Not share your username, password, or account login details with anyone;
• Remain responsible for any use of your account by another person (authorised or unauthorised), including misuse of the App or Services;
• Not do anything that could damage our goodwill or bring our reputation into disrepute; and
• Comply with all applicable law and our current policies made available to you from time to time (including any acceptable-use terms).

You must not:

• Copy, reproduce, publish, broadcast, archive, download (other than caching necessary for personal use), distribute, modify, display, perform, license, transfer, translate, create derivative works from, offer for sale, or use content obtained through the App or Services except as explicitly authorised by these Terms, permitted by law, or with our prior written permission;
• Circumvent, remove, alter, deactivate, degrade, or manipulate content or security features of the App or Services;
• Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the App or Services;
• Decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble the App or Services (except as permitted by applicable law);
• Use network monitoring or discovery software to determine site architecture or extract information about usage or individual identities;
• Insert harmful code or manipulate App content in unauthorised ways;
• Use data mining, data gathering, or extraction methods without permission;
• Infringe any third party's rights when using i spy;
• Transmit material that is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable. We may reject, modify, or delete such material;
• Upload or transmit viruses or other material designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of software, hardware, or networks associated with i spy; or
• Use or provide access to the Services in a way that may breach applicable export control or economic sanctions laws (including those of the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union and its Member States).

You are responsible for the devices, software, and internet connection you use to access i spy, and for any related charges (including mobile data).

6. Affiliate & external links

i spy may contain links to third-party retailers through affiliate programs.

We may earn a commission when you click or purchase through those links, but i spy does not sell or ship products directly.

Product details, pricing, availability, and stock come from third parties and may change. We are not responsible for the content, pricing, fulfilment, or policies of external websites or retailers.

7. Intellectual property

In this section, “Intellectual Property Rights” means patents, copyright, trademarks, designs, database rights, know-how, trade secrets, and similar rights anywhere in the world.

You acknowledge that all Intellectual Property Rights in the App and Services (including materials we provide) belong to i spy or relevant third-party owners. You have no rights in the App or Services other than the right to use them under these Terms.

You agree not to challenge our ownership or use of our Intellectual Property Rights, or attempt to register confusingly similar names or marks.

You retain rights in material you make available to us. When you do, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use and process that material as needed to operate and improve i spy (including visual search, matching, Boards, Closet, and related features).

If you give us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, transferable, royalty-free licence (with right to sublicense) to use that feedback in any manner.

Outfit photos, screenshots, queries, and similar inputs you provide (“Input”) may be processed by automated or AI-based features to generate matches and other results (“Output”). i spy retains rights in its technology and any of its property embedded in Output. You warrant that, as far as you are aware, your Inputs do not violate third-party rights (including publicity, copyright, or other intellectual property rights).

You acknowledge that Output may be similar or identical to Output generated for other users.

You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute i spy content without our prior written consent, except as allowed by these Terms or law.

8. User content, Closet & Boards

As part of using i spy, you may upload outfit photos or screenshots, run visual search, save fashion finds, and create Boards that can include your own photos and products shown in i spy (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your uploaded photos and Boards. By uploading or creating User Content, you grant i spy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the App (including visual search and discovery features).

Your Closet is private and only visible to you. Boards may be private (only you) or public (discoverable by others), depending on the setting you choose.

Public Boards may appear in search or discovery. Other people may view public Boards and interact with them only as the product allows (for example, browsing or saving retailer products where that feature exists). That is different from downloading or reusing your personal photos outside the features of i spy. Screenshots or recordings made outside the App are beyond our control.

Products shown in i spy (for example, fashion items sourced from retailers) remain the property of their respective owners and may be saved or opened according to App functionality and those owners' rights and policies.

You confirm that photos you upload are your own or that you have permission to use them, and that they do not infringe third-party rights.

You may delete User Content or your account. After deletion, content will be removed from public view within a reasonable period, subject to lawful backups and technical retention needed for security or compliance.

9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

i spy is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, i spy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Except as expressly stated, we are not responsible for the availability or reliability of the App or Services meeting your particular needs. Outcomes and content may be generated automatically from available data and are for general information only — they are not professional advice.

Although we take reasonable steps to improve accuracy, we make no warranties that results or content are accurate, complete, or up to date. Matches may be exact or similar alternatives; retail links, prices, and stock can change.

We are not responsible for third-party sites or resources linked from i spy. Links are for information only and are not an endorsement.

10. Data protection

We process personal data (including personal data in User Content) in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law, including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR where they apply. By using i spy, you acknowledge that personal data may be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (including by email where appropriate), except for updates that are immaterial, relate to new features, or are required by law. Continued use of i spy after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

If there is a conflict between (1) these Terms, (2) the Privacy Policy, and (3) any Cookie Notice we publish, the document higher in that list takes precedence.

12. Indemnity

You shall indemnify us and our officers, directors, employees, agents, and consultants against liabilities, costs, expenses, damages, and losses (including reasonable legal costs) suffered or incurred that are directly connected with your use of the App or Services, or your breach of these Terms — except to the extent caused by our bad faith, fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or our failure to comply with our own obligations.
